The federal government's National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has published acceptable rates of accuracy which should be expected when scoring with a 6 level rubric.

Our percentages of 76% exact and 96% adjacent are well above the standards the federal government considers acceptable for human scorers. Occasionally, that 3.531% of scores that fall beyond an adjacent score point shows up in an individual student's scores. Realizing that there is no such thing as absolute perfection in scoring, we are always happy to re-evaluate individual papers that are brought to our attention. |
