Write Score has developed Common Core writing assessments for grades K-2. We remain committed to assisting teachers prepare students to perform well with the Common Core standards that Florida is adopting.
Write Score will continue to transition into the Common Core writing assessments for grades 3-12.
Write Score has added the capability for teachers to access all prior year student data from the 2011-2012 school year forward. Teachers will be able to see a student's "essay portfolio" for every Write Score test taken which includes a student's scanned essays and it's corresponding scores.
This can be an effective tool to assist teachers in evaluating their students' capabilities at the beginning of the school year, and can help motivate students as they recognize their progress over time.
Write Score has partnered with teachers all over the state to develop effective lesson plans to teach critical writing skills.
They can be accessed from links in the report headers of our online data access program.
Now, not only can does Write Score show the areas needing improvement, we also provide classroom proven lesson plans to obtain that improvement.
Write Score now offers an online writing option as well as our traditional paper and pencil writing assessments. Regardless of which process is best for your school, the data all flows seamlessly into your online data results. You can choose either or both types during the year. Write Score will be ready when Florida's state testing moves online.
